The show “Palmės Žiedo klajonės” (en. The Adventures of Palmės Žiedas) takes an autoethnographic approach. Host Jonas Matusa uses his alter ego of Palmės Žiedas to discuss not only various recordings of musical material, but also delves into topics of psychedelic movement, philosophy and media theory. His own experience in the  so called alternative music scene of Lithuania enables him to conjure the nonfictional, the fictional and the real experiences of an artist living in today’s ever changing, techgnostic world.

Palmės Žiedas started his journey in 2017 when he released music, which he now calls “tutorials”, perhaps that is the reason why the person behind the character is now giving lessons to other humans, although they are shorter in height, weight. Later, he released music which was inspired by the Lithuanian night club culture – a movement which is now facing the enemy of standardization. It is interesting how art is so contrary to technology, although at the same time it is not. The electronic “Futura” gave Palmės Žiedas recognition in the alternative scene; however, the artist’s later works were almost never similar – later albums were about the distant, experimental, ambient future or the narrativistic, fantastic past. Some would say that Palmės Žiedas is psychedelic, others that he is too erratic. Those who like the artist, always mention that they do not know him.
